After several years of pause and reflection, we’re back — with a new name, a sharper focus, and a renewed sense of purpose. 🌄

Some of you may remember us as Peru Fitness Holidays, where we offered running and bootcamp retreats across the Andes. Like so many projects, the pandemic brought that chapter to an end — and we never quite restarted. But our passion for running never stopped.

This year, we decided it was time to refocus our energy on what truly drives us: running in the Andes.

More Than Just Running Holidays

Run the Andes isn’t only about all-inclusive running getaways — it’s a movement built around exploration, performance, and community.

We know many travelers already have their itineraries planned, but still want the chance to lace up and hit the trails. Maybe you’re in the middle of a training block, or simply want to keep your fitness up while experiencing some of the most spectacular landscapes on Earth. That’s why we now offer a range of guided runs, from quick one-hour outings to multi-day running adventures across the Andes.

Meet Our Athletes: Rene Champi & Diego Leon

We’re proud to collaborate with two of Peru’s most talented runners:

🏃‍♂️ Rene Champi – Peru’s current half marathon national record holder and a former South American Cross Country Champion. We’ll be following his journey as a professional athlete and sharing insights into his life, training, and mindset.

🏃‍♂️ Diego Leon – One of Peru’s top trail runners and a rising name in the mountain running scene. Expect raw stories, inspiration, and a glimpse into what it takes to compete among the continent’s best.

For those looking to improve their own performance, Rene also offers personalized coaching, giving runners the chance to learn directly from one of South America’s elite.

Explore. Learn. Challenge Yourself.

Beyond our guided runs and coaching, Run the Andes will also feature:

  • Self-guided route guides – where to run (and where not to!) in and around Cusco

  • Local running tips – altitude advice, best times to train, and gear suggestions

  • Epic challenges – including our upcoming adventure: from Cusco’s Plaza de Armas to Machu Picchu in under 24 hours on foot!

This is just the beginning.
